Clearly the only reason that the sales are so high is simply because there is to much pedobear material. We can only guess that 25% of those virgins are complete otaku that buy all this stuff.

Do not forget that quite the number of 4chan users (mainly otaku) would prefer many female characters in this series as their waifus’. Clearly female characters dominate K-ON! girls as they are sexier (seriously just look at the sexually provocative pedo image above), cuter and generally have characteristics that your overage otaku desires.

Remember the crazy fantasies they have and hope that the story in this series will repeat itself to a similar degree in real life.
